Functionalities of the Content Management System for web designers

Flo CMS allows you to practically manage the entire site, alongside providing you with a number of options both for yourself and your clients.

All customer side functionalities are listed in our section for “Flo CMS for site Owners” alongside detail of the various functionalities for each type of CMS available.

From a web designer point of view you will gain access to several functionalities which will allow you to manage the more advanced sections.

• Control panel access
  The control panel will allow you to open or restrict areas of the CMS to your customers, for instance they may not need to use the images gallery, or the API map etc.
  The control panel will also allow you to predefine a number of elements such as the meta tags to be added on newly created pages, what style sheet to use, the mailing information for the contact forms etc.
• Templates management
  The CMS allows you to create any number of templates which will then be used by yourself, but more importantly, by your customers to create new pages. This is particularly helpful for sites using several styles such as this site using 3 different styles (the main area, area for web designers, area for site owners).
• Global elements management
  The global elements are elements which are similar on all pages or categories of pages, this could include link bars, footers etc but could also include graphics and more. You will be able to store them in one central place allowing you to update your entire site from one file. You will also be able to grant access to any global elements to your customers, for instance to allow them to add links on your links bar.
• Pages management
  This section will allow you to create new pages for your site, manage the meta tags and add / manage several distinct areas on each page.
  It will also allow you to create pages which will integrate contact forms, image galleries, Google™ API maps, links pages, FAQ pages etc.

When using the standard version, all elements are integrated with ease using simple tags which are provided to you. More advanced versions of the CMS, for instance Flo CMS for Estate Agents, may require for us to assist in integrating the actual elements relating to the properties themselves. Such work will be included in the cost of the CMS. In such event we will integrate the technical elements and will allow you to style them any way you like.

Should you wish to work on a server of your choice the following are required on the server:

• Windows server
• MySQL database
• ODBC connection for MySQL
• Jmail components

Those are quite standard and will be available with most hosts
